The Formation of Rain

How rain forms remained a great mystery for a long time. Only after weather radar was invented was it possible to discover the stages by which rain is formed.

According to this, the formation of rain takes place in three stages. First, the “raw material” of rain rises up into the air with the wind. Later, clouds are formed, and finally raindrops appear.

The Qur’an’s account of the formation of rain refers exactly to this process. In one verse, this formation is described in this way:

(It is God Who sends the winds which stir up clouds which He spreads about the sky however He wills. He forms them into dark clumps and you see the rain come pouring out from the middle of them. When He makes it fall on those of His slaves He wills, they rejoice.) (The Qur’an, 30:48)

Now, let us examine these three stages outlined in the verse more technically.

FIRST STAGE: It is God Who sends the winds…

Countless air bubbles formed by the foaming of the oceans continuously burst and cause water particles to be ejected towards the sky. These particles, which are rich in salt, are then carried away by winds and rise upward in the atmosphere. These particles, which are called aerosols, function as water traps, and form cloud drops by collecting around the water vapour themselves, which rises from the seas as tiny droplets.

SECOND STAGE:…. which stir up clouds which He spreads about the sky however He wills. He forms them into dark clumps…

The clouds are formed from water vapour that condenses around the salt crystals or dust particles in the air. Because the water droplets in these clouds are very small (with a diameter between 0.01 and 0.02 mm), the clouds are suspended in the air, and spread across the sky. Thus, the sky is covered in clouds.

THIRD STAGE:…and you see the rain come pouring our from the middle of them

The water particles that surround salt crystals and dust particles thicken and form raindrops, so, drops that become heavier than the air leave the clouds and start to fall to the ground as rain.

As we have seen, every stage in the formation of rain is related in the verses of the Qur’an. Furthermore, these stages are explained in exactly the right sequence. Just as with many other natural phenomena on the Earth, God gives the most correct explanation of this phenomenon as well, and made it known to people in the Qur’an centuries before it was discovered.

In another verse, the following information is given about the formation of rain:

(Have you not seen how God drives along the clouds, then joins them together, then makes them into a stack, and then you see the rain come out of it? And He sends down from the sky mountain masses (of clouds) with cold hail in them, striking with it anyone He wills and averting it from anyone He wills. The brightness of His lightning almost blinds the sight.) (The Qur’an, 24:43)

Scientists studying cloud types came across surprising results regarding the formation of rain clouds. Rain clouds are formed and shaped according to definite systems and stages. The formation stages of cumulonimbus, one kind of rain cloud, are these:

1.STAGE, Being driven along: Clouds are carried along, that is, they are driven along, by the wind.

2.STAGE, Joining:Then, small clouds (cumulus clouds) driven along by the wind join together, forming a larger cloud.(1)

3.STAGE, Stacking:When the small clouds join together, updrafts within the larger cloud increase. The updrafts near the centre of the cloud are stronger than those near the edges. These updrafts cause the cloud body to grow vertically, so the cloud is stacked up. This vertical growth causes the cloud body to stretch into cooler regions of the atmosphere, where drops of water and hail formulate and begin to grow larger and larger. When these drops of water and hail become too heavy for the updrafts to support them, they begin to fall from the cloud as rain, hail, etc.(2)

We must remember that meteorologists have only recently come to know these details of cloud formation, structure and function, by using advanced equipment like planes, satellites, computers etc. It is evident that God has given us a piece of information that could not have been known 1,400 years ago.

(A) Isolated small pieces of clouds (cumulus clouds)
(B) When the small clouds join together, updrafts within the larger cloud increase, and so the cloud is stacked up.

These updrafts cause the cloud body to grow vertically, so the cloud is stacked up. This vertical growth causes the cloud body to stretch into cooler regions of the atmosphere, where drops of water and hail formulate and begin to grow larger and larger. When these drops of water and hail become too heavy for the updrafts to support them, they begin to fall from the cloud as rain, hail, etc. This scientific fact was announced in verse 43 of Sura Nur fourteen centuries ago by God in this way: “…then (He) makes them into a stack, and then you see the rain come out of it”

Prostration before Allah May 9, 2008

There, when man is prostrating on the ground,

When he is the lowest he can be before his Lord

And He is Most High

When he humbly whispers to Him:

Glory be to my Lord, the Most High
My face has prostrated before He Who created it and fashioned it,
And brought forth its faculties of hearing and seeing.
Blessed be Allah, the Best of creators

Man is the closest he can to Allah

Almighty Allah says in His Noble Book (what means):

“Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, and those who are with him are severe against disbelievers, and merciful among themselves. You see them bowing and falling down prostrate (in prayer), seeking Bounty from Allah and (His) Good Pleasure. The mark of them (i.e. of their Faith) is on their faces (foreheads) from the traces of (their) prostration (during prayers). This is their description in the Taurât (Torah). But their description in the Injeel (Gospel) is like a (sown) seed which sends forth its shoot, then makes it strong, it then becomes thick, and it stands straight on its stem, delighting the sowers that He may enrage the disbelievers with them. Allah has promised those among them who believe (i.e. all those who follow Islamic Monotheism, the religion of Prophet Muhammad, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, till the Day of Resurrection) and do righteous good deeds, forgiveness and a mighty reward (i.e. Paradise).” [Al-Fath, 48: 29]

Whenever the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) was troubled or distressed because of something, he would call on Bilal saying, “Relieve us with it (Prayers), O Bilal.” And Bilal would pronounce the Azan for Prayers.

The latest studies carried in Egypt in the Local Radiation Technology Center discovered that prostration before Allah frees man from physical pain, psychological Tension and other neurotic and bodily pains. The biological sciences and food radiation specialists working in the center, under the supervision of D. Muhammad Diaa Hamad, have discovered that prostration reduces fatigue, tension, headache, nervousness and anger. Prostration also plays a major role in minimizing the risk factors for cancers.

The researchers have stated that man is subjected to extra radiations and live most of his time amid electromagnetic fields and media, which negatively affect the cells of his body, causing their fatigue and exhaustion. But prostration before Allah helps the body to discharge these extra charges that cause modern-age diseases as headache, muscular cramps, neck spasms, tiredness and exhaustion, apart from forgetfulness and absentmindedness. They stressed that the increase of electromagnetic charges without discharging them aggravate the state and make it more complex, because they cause a disturbance in the mechanism of the cells and damage their performance, and paralyze their interaction with the external environment. Consequently, carcinogenic tumors grow and fetuses are deformed. Scientists have proved that prostration represents a ground connection that helps the discharge of excess and generated charges outside the body and get rid of them away from using medicines and analgesics that have harmful side effects.

The Egyptians experts have affirmed that this discharge process starts by connecting (placing) the forehead to the ground, as in prostration, where the positive charges are transferred from the human body to the negatively charged ground. Consequently, the body is freed from excess charges, especially by using several members. When prostrating oneself before Allah, man uses several members, namely: the forehead, the nose, the palms, the knees and the toes, whereby the discharge process becomes easy and simple.

In another magnificent discovery, the researchers have noticed in their studies that the discharge of the electromagnetic charges from the human body in prostration requires directing oneself towards Sanctified Mecca, and that is exactly what happens in the prayers of Muslims, by facing the Qiblah, (direction faced in prayers), which is the Sanctified Ka‘bah in Mecca

The scientists attributed it to the fact that Sanctified Mecca is the center of the land in the whole world and lies at the middle of the earth (and not Greenwich as commonly believed). Directing oneself towards the center of the earth, towards the Sanctified Ka’bah, is the best position for discharge, through which man is freed from his cares and enjoys after it a spiritual relief, which is exactly what Muslims feel after offering prayers.

The mentioning of the old Egyptian rulers in the Glorious Quran and the difference between the word “king” and “pharos” in it. May 9, 2008

In the Quran, the old rulers of Egypt have been mentioned and the Glorious Quran makes difference between them. When it narrates about Egypt rulers at the age of Moses, peace upon him; they are not called with any name other than the word” pharos”. This is in more than sixty Ayah(verse) like the following Ayah:

And(remember) when we did deliver you from pharaoh’s folk, who were afflicting you with dreadful torment slaying your sons and sparing your women: that was a tremendous trial  from your Lord. (Al-Baqarah)

between them. But when it narrates about Egypt rulers at the age of Joseph, peace upon him; they are not called with any name other than the word “king”.

Allah says:

And the king said: I saw in a dream, seven fat kine which seven lean were eating, and seven green ears of corn and seven dry. (Surat Joseph).

And Allah says:

((And the king said: Bring him unto me. And when the messenger came unto him, he (Joseph) said: Return unto thy lord and ask him what was the case of the women cut their hands. My Lord knoweth thee guile

The mentioning of the old rulers of Egypt in the Torah)).

In Torah, there is no difference between the rulers of Egypt at the age of the prophet Moses and the rulers at the age of the prophet Joseph, they are called pharaoh without any difference between them.

((In Torah (Exodus) chapter 9(13). And the LORD said unto Moses, Rise up early in the morning, and stand before Pharaoh, and say unto him, Thus saith the LORD God of the Hebrews, Let my people go, that they may serve me.

For I will at this time send all my plagues upon thine heart, and upon thy servants, and upon thy people; that thou mayest know that there is none like me in all the earth.))

But when it (Torah) narrates about the ruler of Egypt At the age of Joseph in the Genesis(chapter 41):

And the thing was good in the eyes of Pharaoh, and in the eyes of all his servants.

A portrait of the clause of the pharaoh, the ruler of Egypt

38: And Pharaoh said unto his servants, Can we find such a one as this is, a man in whom the Spirit of God is?
39: And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, Forasmuch as God hath shewed thee all this, there is none so discreet and wise as thou art:
40: Thou shalt be over my house, and according unto thy word shall all my people be ruled.

 The ancient Egyptian civilization.

The ancient Egyptian civilization was still unknown. No one knew any thin about it except some obvious monuments most of which have plunged into the sand of the desert in Giza,  Aswan and Luxor. So had been the case until Gan Franso Shmbelion, a French scientist broke the symbols of the ancient Egyptian language using Rosetta stone which was discovered during the French campaign on Egypt. A text in two language and three writings has been carved out of it: the ancient Egyptian one and it was written in Hieroglyph which means the sacred writing because it was specialized for writing inside the temples,Dimutiqi which means the popular writing and the Greek language . Through comparing between them , he succeeded to break the codes of the Hieroglyphic language . That discovery led to other monumental discoveries and recognizing  the life of Pharaohs and ancient Egyptian.

The word of Pharaohs.

The word Pharaohs means The Great House in the old Egyptian language which had been used after that as a title for Egyptian rulers . That title was not discovered until from the beginning of the eighteenth dynasty i.e. (1539Bc) on. That means that all that period preceded that date , the title of the Egyptian rulers was The King  and there is no disagreement about that even at the time of Hyksos occupation of Egypt (whose name means the king of the sponsors in the old Egyptian language) from 1648 to 1540 BC or before that period.

Joseph, peace be upon him traveling to Egypt.

It is agreeable that Joseph going to Egypt and his reign had been before the mission of Moses, peace be upon him. This is because Allah says narrating what was said by a believer one of Pharaoh’s folk: And verily Joseph brought you of

brought you of old clear proofs, yet ye ceased not to be in doubt concerning what be brought you till, when he died, he said : Allah will not send any messenger after him. Thus Allah deceiveth him who is a prodigal, a doubter.(Surat Ghafir).

The Egyptian said that Allah would not send a messenger because the long period after him in when Allah did not send a messenger in contrast to the prophets of the children of Israel who were sent by Allah throughout short periods of time. Since Moses mission was at the age of the Pharaoh of Egypt (Ramsees the second) as it was clear in a previous research, thus undoubtedly; Joseph was in Egypt before the age of the eighteenth dynasty i.e. the period in which the Egyptian rulers were called kings regardless of  being Egyptians or they were Hyksos , as all people called them kings.

A portrait of a block of stone discovered in the area of Shatea  el-Gazira in upper Egypt handling a starvation happened at the age of  the king Zoser of the third dynasty and lasted for seven years.

The stone of Gazirat el- Shatea .

A stone dating back to the third dynasty and exactly to the age of king Zoser was discovered. The following text was carved out of it :  ( king Zoser  asked the gods to end the starvation that struck Egypt and lasted for seven years etc…). I believe that Joseph ruled Egypt at the age of king Zoser , at the time of the third dynasty because it was credited that this starvation lasted for seven years . It was also hinted that the ruler of Egypt was the king not the Pharaoh and this is in accordance with the glorious Quran.

The Quran miracle about The Unknown.

The Quran makes different between two important ages in the history of Egypt which are the age of the pre-Pharaohs i.e. before the eighteenth dynasty who called their rulers the kings and the age of the post-Pharaohs who called their rulers the Pharaohs and this started from the eighteenth dynasty. That is in contrast to the Torah that has not made difference between the two ages and the two titles: in Torah, Pharaoh is a title for the rulers of Egypt whether at the time of the prophet Joseph or at the time of the prophet Moses and this contradicts the modern science.
